Barry Evans

Since 2016, Barry Evans has served as the National Cotton Council’s secretary/treasurer and as its Finance Committee chair. He has served on multiple NCC committees, and currently is a Cotton Flow Committee member. Evans is a past vice chairman of the NCC’s American Cotton Producers (ACP), has served on numerous ACP committees and currently serves on its Crop Insurance Working Group. He previously served as president and chairman of the Cotton Foundation. He also served as president and chairman of Plains Cotton Growers, Inc., and chairs the Northern High Plains Boll Weevil Eradication Program Advisory Committee.

Evans’ farming operation in West Texas’ Swisher County is split between grain sorghum and cotton, and he is a Windstar Gins stockholder. Evans holds a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University. He and his wife, Lindy, have three children, Eric, Emily, and Haley.
