In its final estimate of the 2017-18 U.S. cotton crop, USDA placed total production at 20.92 million bales, down from the January estimate of 21.26 million bales.
The upland crop estimate was lowered by 347,000 bales from the January estimate to 20.22 million bales while the extra-long staple estimate was raised by 7,000 bales to 700,000 bales.
